After reading all the guide books, we had decided on an itinery and chosen some hotels. We asked Ben to make the hotel bookings, arrange internal flights and provide a car/driver. All the arrangements were made very efficiently and we were kept informed throughout the process. Our driver was very flexible which allowed us to visit more sights than we originally expected. All in all it was an extremely enjoyable and stress free holiday.

Hi, Benjamin Thought I’d drop you a line to let you know that we got home ok, although the Air Madagascar flight going via Milan meant that we missed our flights from Paris to the UK and had to buy seats on a later flight. Thank you for waiting around at Tana airport to make sure that we got away safely and thank you for arranging a brilliant holiday. To anyone thinking of travelling to Madagascar, particularly if you are horrified by the prices charged by European agencies, I would unhesitatingly recommend Visit Mada tours. Our time was limited and needed to accommodate my interest in scenery and wildlife, Ken’s interest in diving and our joint enjoyment of "offbeat" experiences. We therefore did the trip to Andasibe (Perinet), the pirogue trip down the Tsiribihina and on to Morondava and then a few days on Ile Sainte Marie with a final day’s sightseeing in Tana before the flights home. All the arrangements worked perfectly, we saw everything without feeling rushed, all the accommodation (including the tent) was good and Benjamin, John, the boat crew and drivers all looked after us really well. The highlight was probably the boat trip; lying out on the sandbanks at night, looking up at the stars, watching the sunrise and being treated to an impromptu display of dancing one lunch time. Being jumped on by lemurs in Andasibe was pretty good, too. The only disappointment was that the last whales had left Sainte Marie the day we arrived, but you can’t have everything!Lesley.Wooller@KPMG.co.uk

We booked a car with a driver through Visit Mada tours for a 6-day drive from Tana to Tulear. We had an amazing trip in Madagascar and our driver, Luva, had a great deal to do with it. We do not speak French, so having an English-speaking driver was a huge help. In fact, he was more than a driver and helped us out a lot; finding english-speaking guides for national parks, giving advice on getting the best deals, telling us about Malagasy culture and customs... He was always on time and always ready to help. We were initially going to book a tour with another agency, but found them too expensive and not accomodating (e.g. the route is not possible, you can’t stay at budget hotels, etc). When we asked Benjamin about the same route, he said "anything’s possible". We were very glad we booked a car with a driver, as we had more flexibility. I would recommend booking with Benjamin’s company if you are thinking of driving around Madagascar (ask for Luva to be your driver, if possible). Thank you Benjamin and Luva for helping make our holiday amazing!
