7 Day Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park Adventure :

Exploring the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park and visiting Morondava is one of Madagascar's most adventurous and spectacular journeys. This iconic western Madagascar road trip combines dramatic landscapes, ancient forests, baobab trees, unique wildlife, and the breathtaking razor-sharp limestone formations known as the Tsingy. Over seven unforgettable days, travelers discover towering endemic trees, sunset at Baobab Avenue, rare animals, traditional villages, and the incredible geological labyrinths of one of the world's most extraordinary natural wonders. The Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park is accessible only during Madagascar's dry season, generally from May to November. From December to April, heavy rains make the unpaved roads difficult or impossible to travel, while flooded rivers and challenging conditions lead to the seasonal closure of the park. Our package is designed to give you complete peace of mind. It includes transportation, accommodation, park entrance fees, guided visits, round-trip domestic flights between Antananarivo and Morondava and all activities listed in the itinerary. The only expenses not included are your lunches, dinners, and drinks, allowing you the flexibility to choose your own dining experiences. With no hidden costs, you can simply relax and enjoy Madagascar's incredible scenery, unique wildlife, and rich cultural heritage. For the latest itinerary, pricing, customized travel plans, or hotel upgrades, please contact Mr. Ben. He will be happy to create a tour tailored to your interests, preferences, and budget.

Day 1: Arrival in Madagascar - Welcome to Antananarivo

Upon your arrival at Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative, who will assist you with your transfer to your hotel in the city. Antananarivo, affectionately known as "Tana," is the capital and largest city of Madagascar, with a population of approximately 4.4 million people. Located in the heart of the Central Highlands at an altitude of around 1,280 meters (4,200 feet) above sea level, the city enjoys a pleasant, mild climate throughout much of the year. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to relax at your hotel or take a short introductory tour of the city, where you'll experience Madagascar's unique blend of history, culture, and vibrant everyday life.

Day 2: Fly from Antananarivo to Morondava :

You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight to Morondava. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our English-speaking Guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in. After settling in, enjoy a traditional pirogue ride to a local fishing village, where you can experience the authentic coastal lifestyle of Morondava. You will then have some free time to explore the town at your own pace or simply relax. In the late afternoon, we will take you to the famous Baobab Avenue to witness its breathtaking sunset. As the golden light illuminates the majestic baobab trees, the avenue transforms into one of Madagascar's most spectacular landscapes, offering unforgettable views and exceptional photo opportunities from its best vantage points.

Day 3: Morondava - Belo sur Tsiribihina - Bekopaka

Today, we begin our adventure from Morondava to Bekopaka village, the gateway to the spectacular Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park. We travel by car with an experienced driver, covering approximately 8 hours on a challenging off-road route. Along the way, we cross the Tsiribihina River by ferry with the vehicle onboard. We stop in Belo sur Tsiribihina for lunch, where you can enjoy a short walk through the local market, meet friendly villagers, and experience the warm hospitality of the local community. After this refreshing break, we continue our journey toward Bekopaka. Upon arrival, we check in at the hotel and take time to relax, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, the fresh breeze, and the sounds of nature. This day is a true adventure experience. The road conditions can be demanding, making the journey quite challenging, but the landscapes, encounters, and sense of adventure make it a memorable part of the trip.

Day 4: Trekking to Grand Tsingy Park with Your Personal Local Guide :

After an early breakfast at the hotel, you will head to the Manambolo River by traditional pirogue. During this one-hour excursion, you will have the opportunity to search for fish eagles and explore a fascinating cave decorated with impressive stalactites and stalagmites. After the river adventure, you will continue by vehicle to the starting point of your trek in the Grand Tsingy area of Bemaraha National Park. The Grand Tsingy is the most spectacular part of the park, featuring dramatic limestone pinnacles, suspension bridges, and breathtaking panoramic viewpoints. This half-day trek is one of the most rewarding experiences in Bemaraha, taking you deep into a unique limestone forest filled with extraordinary karst formations. As you cross several hanging bridges suspended above the sharp limestone landscape, you will enjoy unforgettable views and have the chance to capture photographs of scenery unlike anywhere else in the world. Please note that this adventure is not recommended for people who suffer from severe vertigo, as some viewpoints and bridge crossings involve significant heights. Before starting the trek, remember to request a picnic lunch and mineral water from your hotel. These items are not included in the tour price and must be arranged separately.

Day 5: Bekopaka to Kirindy Forest :

After breakfast, we depart Bekopaka and begin our journey towards Kirindy Forest, traveling through the scenic landscapes of western Madagascar. Along the way, we pass through Belo sur Tsiribihina, where we stop for lunch before continuing our drive. En route, we make a short visit to the famous Baobab in Love, one of Madagascar's most iconic and photogenic baobab trees. This unique natural landmark provides a wonderful opportunity to capture memorable photos and admire the beauty of Madagascar's remarkable flora. We then continue to Kirindy Forest, one of Madagascar's premier wildlife destinations, celebrated for its exceptional biodiversity and unique ecosystems. In the evening, we embark on an exciting night walk through the forest, searching for nocturnal lemurs and other fascinating creatures that become active after sunset. Kirindy Forest is also one of the best places in Madagascar to encounter the elusive Fossa, the island's largest predator and one of its most extraordinary endemic species.

Day 6: KIRINDY FOREST TO MORONDAVA.

Before leaving the area, enjoy a final opportunity to explore the remarkable biodiversity of Kirindy Forest, one of Madagascar's most famous dry deciduous forest reserves, located approximately 50 - 60 km north of Morondava. During your visit, you may encounter a variety of endemic wildlife, including the Verreaux's sifaka, Madame Berthe's mouse lemur (the world's smallest primate), red-fronted brown lemurs, giant jumping rats, narrow-striped mongooses, chameleons, geckos, boas, and a wide range of endemic bird species. Kirindy Forest offers a unique glimpse into Madagascar's extraordinary ecosystems, with its dry forest landscapes and rare species found nowhere else on Earth. Later, continue to Morondava, where you will arrive and settle in for the next stage of your adventure.

Day 7: Flight from Morondava to Antananarivo :

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Morondava Airport for your flight back to Antananarivo. Upon arrival in Antananarivo, your trip will come to an end. However, if you have more time and would like to continue exploring Madagascar, we can arrange additional tours, such as the East Coast tour or a visit to Andasibe National Park to discover the famous indri-indri lemurs. Please contact us, and we will be happy to update your final itinerary according to your preferences.

Since there is no direct connection flight between Morondava and Toliara (Tuléar), you may choose an alternative combined itinerary that includes a visit to Ifaty Beach and continues with the southern route from Toliara to Antananarivo. This option allows you to explore highlights such as Isalo National Park and other attractions along the way.
